DALLAS (KRLD) - Seven years after he was convicted of capital murder as a juvenile, a Dallas man is standing trial for armed robbery.

According to KRLD's L.P. Phillips, prosecutors intend to go for a long prison term if he is convicted.

Royneco Harris is accused of robbing two men at gunpoint outside a Dallas coffee shop two years ago.

Police reports say less than a month later, surveillance video from a 7-11 convenience store on Gaston Avenue showed similar men using milk to wash mace out of their eyes from another failed stickup. They say the man in both holdups was Royneco Harris. And they were very familiar with Harris.

In 2011, Harris and another man shoved a 19-year-old man into a DART train, dragging him to his death. Harris was convicted as a juvenile and put on parole when he turned 18.
