Dallas County Reports 63 Additional Coronavirus Cases, 1 Death

Dallas County Health and Human Services officials reported 63 additional positive cases of 2019 novel coronavirus on Wednesday, bringing the total case count in Dallas County to 1,324. 

Another person also died from the virus, the 20th death from COVID-19 in Dallas County. The victim was reported to be a man in his 60’s who was a resident of Rowlett. He had been critically ill in an area hospital and had underlying high-risk health conditions.

“The Safer at Home Order, implemented on March 22, 2020, that you have embraced and followed is working to #FlattenTheCurve. Nothing will distract my team from the mission. We need your help. #StayHomeSaveLives,” said Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.

As of today 96,258 tests have been given in the state of Texas for coronavirus - and of those, 9,107 are positive.

The total number of deaths related to the virus in Texas is now at 177.
