Dallas Historical Society Celebrating Life Of Former Cowboys Coach Tom Landry

The Dallas Historical Society is celebrating a Texas football icon, former Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry.

A new exhibit featuring more than 60 mementos from the life of Tom Landry, some of which have never been seen by the public.

Tom Landry Jr says the family wanted to share his dads legacy with fans.

The exhibit will feature some historic footballs from the Landry era - including the first victory game call from Landry's Dallas Cowboys in 1960 signed by the original team. 

Landry's bust from the Pro Football Hall of Fame will also be on display along with papers from Landry's childhood, including football plays and research, and Landry's iconic Fedoras.

The Dallas Historical Society is housed in the Hall of State at Fair Park.

The exhibit comes on the 60th anniversary of the Dallas Cowboys and will open to the public November 12th.
