DALLAS (KRLD) - A pizza delivery driver who shot two people trying to rob him has been questioned and released by Dallas Police.

Police say the driver was making a delivery to an apartment complex on Southwestern Boulevard just after 10 o'clock Tuesday night when he was approached by two suspects, both 15 years old.

Police say they threatened the driver with a gun and attempted to rob him. The driver is licensed to carry a handgun.

He responded by producing his own weapon and shot both suspects. One of them died from his injuries. The other survived and is being charged with aggravated robbery.

Police brought the delivery driver in for questioning but he has since been released. Police say the case will be referred to the Dallas County Grand Jury to determine if the driver should face any criminal charges.
