Tonight in Dallas a protest will be held for the Fort Hood soldier who was found murdered after being missing for more than 2 months.

The killing of US Army Specialist Vanessa Guillen has started a nationwide conversation about sexual assault and harassment in the military.

Carlos Quintanilla, president of Accion America, says the Army failed to protect Guillen.

Protests and vigils have been held across Texas in support of Guillen and her family.

Crowds have gathered in the streets of downtown Houston and on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in Dallas.

Folks also came together in Fort Worth near a newly painted mural of the fallen soldier.

Another protest for Guillen is scheduled to take place tonight at 7:00pm in front of Dallas City Hall.
