DALLAS (KRLD) - Dallas police now say it was a hit and run by a driver suspected of DWI that caused a fatal crash on North Central Expressway this morning.

According to police, around 1:30 this morning a man on a moped was hit by a woman driving a car.  It happened on North Central Expressway at SMU Blvd.

He was thrown off the moped, landed on the highway and was hit by another motorist.  He died at the scene.

The woman who hit his moped took off but police caught up with her a short time later. She's been identified as 20-year-old Quevedo Meza.

Investigators say her damaged car had a moped pedal sticking out of it.
