East Texas Man Jumps From Speeding Car, Killed In Wyoming

SHERIDAN, WY (1080 KRLD) - An East Texas man has died in Wyoming where  he jumped from a speeding car while trying elude a state trooper.

Tyler resident Marshall Acker was being chased for suspicion of drunk driving.

Acker was clocked going 97 miles-an-hour and failed to stop when the trooper lit him up.

The trooper was stunned to see Acker climb through the sun roof while still doing at least 80 mph, and jump from the car.

He died on the scene and his un-manned car crashed into the median divider.  

No one else was hurt.
