FORT HOOD (1090 KRLD) - More details are expected today about the disappearance of Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen, who’s been missing for more than two months.

The Fort Hood Senior Commander, Maj. Gen. Scott Efflandt, III Corps deputy commanding general, will hold a press conference at 2 pm. on the status of the Spc.

Vanessa Guillen investigation. He’ll be joined by Fort Hood’s U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) and representatives from law enforcement agencies assisting on the case.

Earlier this week, human remains were found near the Leon River in Bell County. Guillen’s family says they believe the remains are those of the missing soldier.

The family says they don't agree with how the case has been handled, and they're demanding a congressional investigation.

"They lied to us since day one," said Mayra, Guillen's sister, during a press conference held yesterday. "Fort Hood ... they're hiding. I don't know what, I don't know who. I'm surprised they even admitted the foul play."

Authorities say the main suspect in the case was an active soldier. He reportedly killed himself yesterday morning as police closed in on him. Another suspect is in custody. He is a civilian.
