Frisco Police Investigating Overnight Shooting

FRISCO (KRLD) - Frisco police say they are investigating a shooting that took place early Wednesday morning. 

Officers responded to Baylor, Scott, and White Centennial Hospital after they received a report that an adult female was brought in for a gunshot wound. 

Police were informed that a shooting took place at an apartment complex in the 6300 block of FM 423 in Frisco. 

When authorities arrived to the location, they identified Marcos Galindo, 21, as the shooter. He was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Frisco police department detention center.

Galindo is charged with attempted murder, which is a second-degree felony. 

The victim in the incident was treated and released from the hospital.

Police say the shooting remains under investigation.
