Gas Prices Are Rising In Texas

    Drivers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area are paying six cents more at an average of $1.62 a gallon.

    AAA Texas says the statewide average is $1.64 for a gallon of regular unleaded. This is $.04 more than this day last week. But, its $.88 less compared to this day last year.

    Daniel Armbruster with AAA Texas says, "We're starting to see gas prices rise due to an increasing crude oil prices and of course demand is on the rise."

    He says drivers in El Paso are paying the most at $1.86 a gallon.

    Drivers in Lubbock and Sherman/Denison are paying the least at $1.55 a gallon.
