The 36th annual Main Street Fest in Grapevine has been canceled.

Initially scheduled for mid-May, the event was postponed because of Coronavirus fears. It was rescheduled to run from June 26th to the 28th.

Now, though, organizers have simply decided to cancel it for this year.

In announcing its decision, the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureaus cites "the safety of our staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors and attendees."

The gathering has often drawn more than 150,000 people to downtown Grapevine. While the main event is off, the annual tennis tournament will go on as planned on June 27th and 28th.
