HOUSTON (KRLD) - Houston police hope surveillance video will lead them to a man who created panic at Memorial City mall on Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses say a masked man ran into the food court and jumped on a table.

Harris County constable Ted Heap says, "He declared he was going to kill himself. Now, he had something in a bag that he threw. Of course, we had chaos at this point. People started fleeing."

Witnesses claimed they heard popping sounds. Investigators say no fireworks or explosive devices were found. They say a 16-year-old and his mother received minor injuries as people fled.

Police are investigating this as a terroristic threat.
