DALLAS (KRLD) - An operation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement resulted in the arrest of 75 people in north Texas and Oklahoma. Federal officials say all of the people taken into custody were in the country illegally and most had other criminal records. Those included convictions for assault, identity theft and drug possession.

Most of the people arrested were originally from Mexico. A smaller number were from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador and Ecuador. One individual was from Kenya and one was from Vietnam.

“The operations that our ICE officers perform provide a vital public-safety benefit to local communities by removing criminal aliens from the streets,” said Marc J. Moore, field office director.

Similar raids as part of "Operation Cross Check" resulted in 16 arrests in Austin and Waco.
