DALLAS (KRLD) - People in Laredo, Texas will have to cover their mouth and nose when entering any building that is not their home.

Laredo City Council says this includes public transit and offices.

Laredo Mayor Pro Tem Alberto Torres says, "If they have a mask, great. If they don't, they can make one themselves or they can use a bandana or a scarf." He says the order continues through April 30.

Those who violate the order could face a fine of up to $1,000.
