DALLAS (KRLD) - One person was killed early Monday morning at Dallas Area Rapid Transit's Deep Ellum Station. DART police say two people got into an argument on a Green Line train about 12:20 a.m.

DART says the two got off the train at the Deep Ellum station along Good Latimer Expressway and continued arguing on the platform. Police say one of the men shot the other several times in the head.

The victim died on the train platform.

DART closed the station overnight. DART police and Dallas police are working together on the investigation.

The station reopened Monday morning.

"There's always violence going everywhere, yes sir," one rider said as he walked to the stop. "Everything gets violent on the weekends here."

"For the most part, it's kind of empty. Sometimes, you'll have homeless people, they'll walk around or try to get on the train, bu that's about it," another said. "I'm pretty sure when the bars are open, there are probably some issues."

DART closed the station overnight. DART police and Dallas police spent the night interviewing other people on the train and gathering evidence from the scene. They say the gunman ran off; no arrests have been made.
