DALLAS (10980 KRLD) - Mosquito samples from across North Texas are testing positive for West Nile Virus, including three samples in Grapevine and five in Arlington.

Over the next two days, both cities will be spraying the areas where the positive tests were found. In Arlington, those places include:

    - Park Hill Drive at Mossy Oak

    - Cooper Street at Lovers Lane

    - Forest Edge Drive at Park Row

    - Douglas Court at Cooper

    - Road to Six Flags Street at Ballpark Way

The spraying will only take place in areas where the virus has been confirmed.

"It is safe to be outside, we just as that you're not outside when the trucks are passing by," says Mona Quintanilla, Public Information Officer for the City of Grapevine.

Quintanilla says for Grapevine, the process won't take long. Workers will begin spraying Thursday at 9:30 p.m. and Quintanilla says the spray will have evaporated by morning.

    Her advice for avoiding mosquitos?

    "Practice the 'Four D's.'"

    1. Use bug sprays with Deet.

    2. Dress in long pants and sleeves.

    3. Drain still water.

    4. Stay inside at Dusk and Dawn.
