As we slide into the area round of the playoffs, several games are scheduled this week at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

The slate includes a dynamic doubleheader on Friday. At 4:30, rivals Southlake Carroll and DeSoto will square off for a spot in the regional semifinals. And in the nightcap at 8 p.m.

Friday evening, Rockwall will try to take down Allen for the first time in recent history.

On Saturday at AT&T, top-ranked Duncanville will face upstart Flower Mound, which is coming off the first playoff win in school history.

Meanwhile, Denton Guyer and Cedar Hill will play their regular-season rematch (won by Guyer) at the home of the Cowboys at noon Saturday.

And the long weekend at Jerryworld kicks off Thursday evening when Highland Park will face Magnolia.

The playoff field has been cut in half, and the stakes only get bigger from here.
