TEXAS (1080 KRLD)- The significant rebound continues for oil prices.

Since the crash that drove West Texas Intermediate Crude into negative territory in April, prices have been rising steadily.  On Friday morning, the U.S. benchmark was up more than 4% to jump back over $39 a barrel.  It's the highest level for WTI Crude since early March, just before the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic started to take hold.

GasBuddy.com analyst Patrick DeHaan told KRLD News gasoline demand is also increasing steadily, as more Americans go back to work.  His expectation is that gas prices will continue to go up, especially as more signs of an economic recovery surface.  DeHaan talked Friday with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
