GRAPEVINE (1080 KRLD) - With at least five school threats in the past week, Grapevine-Colleyville school administrators are upping the security on all campuses beginning today.

Superintendent Robin Ryan has posted a letter saying the district will offer additional counselors to students who may be frightened by threats leveled against three schools, Grapevine Middle, Cross Timbers Middle, and Glenhope Elementary.

The threats came from the same phone number, according to reports.

Additionally, a fourth school received a call from that same number, although that call went unanswered.

"These threats diverted valuable time and resources for both the police departments" and the Grapevine-Colleyville district, said Ryan.
