RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD) - The Richardson ISD has announced that six campuses will be closed again today. Those schools are in areas that are still without electricity after Sunday night's storms.
Audelia Creek Elementary, Christa McAuliffe Learning Center, Dover Elementary, Hamilton Park Pacesetter Magnet, Richland Elementary and Stults Road Elementary in the RISD will all be closed Tuesday, October 22nd.
All other schools in the Richardson ISD will be open and operate on their normal schedule.
School district officials are advising both parents and employees to allow extra travel time in their schedules.
"We have RISD families who have lost homes and been displaced," said RISD Superintendent Dr. Jeannie Stone. "Those families and students are foremost in our thoughts, and we will work with our area partners to provide support and assistance."
