TEXAS (1080 KRLD)- Texas school districts are making their plans to possibly reopen in the fall, with everyone back in the school buildings, in spite of the pandemic that is still out of control in north Texas.

That's causing some worries for parents, and for teachers.

A lot of teachers and school staff members are actually writing wills, and getting their other affairs in order.

Stephen Poole is the Executive Director of the United Educators Association.

He says more than 50% of north Texas teachers told the U.E.A. that they don't want to back into school buildings in the fall.  A lot of teachers may have pre-existing conditions that would make them more susceptible to the worst symptoms of COVID-19.

He also says there's a chance that some teachers may have the opportunity to teach school from home, while the students are in the school buildings.
