DALLAS (KRLD) - Carroll ISD in Southlake is the best school district in North Texas, according to a new study by Niche.com. The district came in as the No. 33 ranked school district in the country.

Niche looked at everything from how ready students are for college, graduation rates, quality of teachers, and test scores.

Overall, the study says the best district in the state is in Austin, that's Eanes ISD. But after that, most of the districts on the list are right here in North Texas.

Following Carroll ISD was Highland Park, Coppell, Frisco, Lovejoy, Allen, Argyle, Plano, and Grapevine-Colleyville ranked No. 4 - No. 11 in the state. Prosper and Sunnyvale came in at No. 13 and 15.

Niche says students from those school districts have a better chance of gaining admittance into colleges like the University of Texas and Texas A&M.
