FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A suspect is has been arrested in connection with a series of fires overnight near Hulen Mall in southwest Fort Worth.

A Dumpster and two cars were set on fire within the same general vicinity.

Mike Drivdahl with Fort Worth Fire says investigators quickly located a person of interest.

"They did question that suspect," says Drivdahl. "They investigated both of the vehicle fires and at that time determined that there was reason to believe that that suspect was connected with those vehicle fires."

The suspect was booked into the Tarrant County Jail on suspicion of arson.

The suspect is identified as Kwunte Campbell, 41, of Fort Worth.

Drivdahl says the motive remains unclear at this time.

"The fact that we had a quick response from our investigators from Fort Worth PD (and) from the fire company that was on scene definitely led to a quick investigation and then arresting that suspect," says Drivdahl.
