BURLESON (KRLD) - Police in Burleson have detained a person in connection with an apparent road-rage shooting after one of the victims drove from Fort Worth to the Burleson Police Department's headquarters.

Police were notified about the case by a 911 caller Monday afternoon.

"The caller stated they were in a vehicle and they were being chased by another vehicle while being shot at," said DeAnna Phillips with the City of Burleson. "They also stated they were on the way to the Burleson Police Department headquarters."

When that car arrived, officers found that a passenger had been shot. Police notified MedStar and the Burleson Fire Department and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police believe the shooting actually began near Alta Mesa in southwest Fort Worth. "We're still sorting out where all the shots were fired," said Phillips, "however, none of the shots were fired in front of the Burleson Police Department."

Police are questioning someone they describe as a "person of interest" in the case.
