DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A teenager who was certified to stand trial as an adult has been indicted for capital murder and seven other offenses.

16-year old Lenario Washington was arrested almost a year ago after the murder of Maria Ezquerro. She was killed in her far north Dallas apartment in October of last year.

Police say Washington told her he was cold, so she invited him in to warm up. But that's far from the end of the cases.

Court records show seven other cases in Dallas County including four aggravated sexual assault cases, two aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and one burglary with intent to commit sexual assault. And that is just in North Texas.

Authorities in Louisiana say Washington is under investigation for several sexual assaults.

Earlier this year a judge certified Washington to stand trial as an adult.

Because of his age, if he is convicted of capital murder the sentence would be life without parole. A 16-year old cannot face a death penalty case.
