DALLAS (KRLD) - The Bexar County Sheriff's office says one of their deputies has been indicted on seven counts of sexual assault.

On Jan. 22, 2019, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office learned from the San Antonio Police Department that a report had been made about allegations of sexual assault that had been on-going for several years against Andrew Sanchez Guerra. Guerra has since been placed on unpaid administrative leave.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Internal Affairs Division will be conducting a separate but concurrent administrative investigation, pending further criminal investigation of the case by the San Antonio police department.

Guerra has been with the Bexar County Sheriff's office for seventeen years.
