Texas Rangers fans cannot watch this weekend's games in person, but Texas Live! will be open next door. The development has begun a phased reopening.

"It's great to have baseball back, and we're really looking forward to inviting our friends back and our guests," says Chief Operating Officer Jim Watry.

Lockhart Smokehouse, Arlington Backyard, Live! Arena and Miller Cabin Beer Garden have reopened.

"The building is gigantic. It's 200,000 square feet, and it's got a lot of great features that allow for both open air experience and social distancing," Watry says. "We have a lot of patios and balconies."

With the opening of Live! Arena, fans will be able to watch the Rangers on the development's 100-foot LED television.

"We're going to get the energy of the stadium," Watry says. "Even though it won't be full of fans, our building's 15 feet away from the new Globe Life Field."

On the plaza outside, Watry says Rita's Italian Ice and Fletcher's Corny Dogs will set up their food trucks from 3-9 p.m.

"We're going to recreate some of that opening day feeling on the plaza," he says.

Watry says employees will have their temperatures checked when they report to work. Valet services will not be available, but people can park in Texas Rangers Lot B, next to Texas Live!.

Texas Live! recommends customers bring credit or debit cards to avoid using cash during transactions.
