TRE Train Hits Truck At Crossing In Fort Worth

UPDATE (4:00 p.m.): The crossing at Riverside Drive between Fourth St. and Galvez Avenue is now open. 

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Trinity Railway Express Train hit a semi-truck Tuesday morning in east Fort Worth.

The train hit the truck at the Riverside crossing about 7:30 a.m.

MedStar responded and says two people in the truck were treated for minor injuries. Neither needed to be taken to the hospital. No one on the train was hurt.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) warned TRE passengers to expect delays. Buses were taking riders from Fort Worth Central Station to Richland Hills Station.

The train was cleared, and TRE line reopened about 9:30 a.m.
