U.S. Military Helicopter Crashes In Iraq, Killing All On Board

DALLAS (KRLD) - A U.S. military helicopter crashed in western Iraq on Friday, killing everyone on board.

According to CBS News, seven U.S. troops were on the aircraft went it went down. 

The U.S. military hasn't confirmed how many service members were killed.

President Trump offered his condolences on Twitter Friday.

According to a statement issued Friday morning by the U.S.-led military coalition in Iraq, there is no immediate indication to believe the Pave Hawk helicopter was shot down. 

"All personnel aboard were killed in the crash," said Brig. Gen. Jonathan P. Braga, director of operations, Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve, in a written statement sent to CBS News. "This tragedy reminds us of the risks our men and women face every day in service of our nations. We are thinking of the loved ones of these service members today."

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
