LAREDO (1080 KRLD) -Family and friends of women murdered in South Texas by a Border Patrol agent, remember the victims at a vigil.

The group gathered in a Laredo park with candles and photos of the women Juan Ortiz has confessed to killing. Investigators say Ortiz preyed on prostitutes. He's accused of killing four women along the Rio Grande, and prosecutors say they may seek the death penalty for Ortiz. He was caught when a woman he attacked escaped.

Before becoming a Border Patrol supervisor, Ortiz served as a Navy Corpsman.
