DALLAS (KRLD) - As Congress gets ready to return from its summer recess, lawmakers are being urged to approve the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) when they get back to Washington next week.

The USMCA would replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which went into effect in 1994.

Rick Dearborn is executive director of The Pass USMCA Coalition, which is lobbying Congress to finalize the new agreement this fall.  Dearborn is a former deputy chief of staff for President Trump, and has served two U.S. presidents and six U.S. senators.

He talks about USMCA with KRLD's Chris Sommer.
