DALLAS (KRLD) - Winstar World Casino and Resort has been meticulously cleaned, employees tested, chairs taken out, procedures updated, and its ready for business.  The casino reopens Wednesday at 8 A.M.

"We're very excited," says Winstar general manager Jack Parkinson. "We've been preparing for two-and-a-half months."

The Thackerville, OK casino has been closed since March 16 because of COVID-19.

All 4,000 Winstar employees were tested for COVID-19.  They employees will continue to be screened for the virus as the facility reopens.

Getting to a point where Winstar could reopen also meant a huge cleaning.

"Prior to opening we've gone floor to ceiling through every building in this property," says Parkinson.

Guests will have to wear masks and have their temperature checked when entering the facility. Additionally, Winstar is only opening to 25% of its normal capacity.

Also, the casino will close from 4 A.M. to 8 A.M. every day for cleaning.
