DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A woman who was trapped in a fire at a complex of condominiums in Dallas Tuesday morning has died.

Dallas Fire Rescue was called about 12:20 a.m. to the Meadows North Condominiums on Meadow Road, east of Highway 75.

Dallas Fire Rescue says the first crews to arrive saw flames coming from the second floor, so they called a second alarm. Firefighters helped several residents escape, but they say one woman was trapped inside her condo.

Dallas Fire Rescue says the woman was unconscious, so firefighters pulled her to safety and started performing CPR. She went to the hospital in critical condition and later died.

Dallas Fire Rescue says the fire started in her condominium, but investigators are still looking for the cause.

No one else was hurt. Four condos were destroyed; several others were damaged. The complex says the six people who lived in the four units will be able to stay in empty condos.
