DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Norths Texas figures prominently in the plans of Facebook where Mark Zuckerberg is looking ahead to what the business world might look like in the post-Coronavirus era.

Zuckerberg is speculating that tech companies like his can diversify to many locations, allowing workers in all parts of the country to be creative where they are rather than be centralized in places like Seattle and California's Silicon Valley.

With that in mind, he's thinking the Dallas-Fort Worth area can be one of several regional hubs along with Atlanta and Denver.

Zuckerberg goes on to explain that when he says "hubs" he's not thinking of a traditional office or campus - but rather regions with hundreds of engineers and other creative workers who can collaborate in a virtual way without the need to gather on a daily basis.

Zuckerberg  also referred to a Facebook employee survey which finds about 20 percent of the workers are "extremely or very interested" in moving to full-time remote work after virus-related restrictions are lifted. Another 20 percent are "somewhat interested."
