DENTON (1080 KRLD) - Many North Texans made their voices heard at a town hall meeting where they confronted a congressman over his stance on forced seperations at the border.

U.S. Representative Michael Burgess hosted the meeting at Denton High School on Monday night.

A variery of topics were discussed, but when it turned to the seperations at the border, many were quick to shout over Burgess.

People there were so anxious to speak, organziers had to flip a coin to choose who would go first.

Some of the most vocal outcries have come as children are seperated from their parents at the border, and have allegedly been forced to wait in areas fenced off by chain links that some say resemble cages.

Burgess tells NBC 5 that nobody wants to seperate familiesm, but that nobody supports people coming into the country without the law behind them.
