DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas woman known as the "Girl in a Closet" finds herself facing serious charges. Lauren Kavanaugh talked with Dr. Phil on Television in 2012 about being starved, beaten and raped and put in a closet at the hands of her mother and stepfather.

She said, "My dad one time...I didn't do something make him happy. So, he put a gun to my head and pulled the trigger." Both her mother and stepfather are in prison. Only, now Kavanaugh is indicted on three counts of sexual assault of a child.

Prosecutors say Kavanaugh admitted to sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl. The girl says she found Kavanaugh through the Facebook fan page, "The Lauren Kavanaugh story."
