July 07, 2019 - 10:59 am

HOUSTON (1080 KRLD) - One of the two men facing capital murder charges in the December shooting death of 7-year-old Jasmine Barnes in Houston is out on bond.

A court record check by the Houston Chronicle found Eric Black Jr. made a lowered bond on June 25. It was reduced to $150,000, which means he had to put down $1,500.

Jasmine was riding in a car with her mother and three sisters outside a Walmart when a gunman pulled up next to them and opened fire. Jasmine was shot in the head. Her mother shot in the arm. Black is the alleged driver of the car.

The alleged shooter, Larry Woodruffe, is still in jail. Police believe the shooting is a case of mistaken identity.
