FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Two men are behind bars after police say they went on a robbery spree at Tarrant County Waffle House restaurants.

"At about 12:30 this morning, a Waffle House located on Oakland Avenue here in Fort Worth, was robbed by two black male suspects," says Fort Worth Police Ofc. Buddy Calzada. "About 30 minutes after that, we had the Waffle House located on the access road near Alta Mere -- that was also robbed by two black male suspects."

And they weren't done.

"Two other Waffle Houses -- one in Saginaw, one in Roanoke -- were also robbed by two male suspects matching the same description," says Calzada. "The suspects robbed four Waffle Houses in about an 80-minute time frame."

No one was hurt in any of those four robberies.

Calzada says the robberies were very similar in scope -- especially in terms of the getaway vehicle.

"Putting all of our detective work into it, they realized that they were driving a black Ford Mustang at each one of these robberies," Calzada says.

Police in Grand Prairie spotted that car and pulled it over.

Evidence inside the car implicated both men.

"The things that were located inside (the car) -- they were directly related to offenses that happened here at the Waffle House in Fort Worth," says Calzada.

Justanity Johnson and Xavier Parham, both 18, were arrested and are currently in the Tarrant County jail.

Calzada says investigators are looking into whether they're responsible for other recent Waffle House robberies, including one in Bedford last month.
