ARLINGTON (KRLD) - Police say they are launching an investigation into a fatal incident between a man and his ex-wife.

According to a press release, Arlington officers responded around 3:37 p.m. Saturday to a call about a man lying in the parking lot behind a business in the 4100 block of South Cooper St.

Police found the man, who has not been identified, lying on the ground with a severe head wound. He was transported to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigators have determined that the fatal injury was caused when the man jumped onto the hood of a car belonging to his ex-wife. When the woman put the car in reverse, detectives believe the man fell and struck his head on the pavement.

The woman initially drove away from the scene, but later stopped and called police. She is currently being questioned by investigators to determine exactly what happened.

Police say the case will be taken to the Tarrant County Grand Jury for further review.
