Police: Suspect Shot Two Men For Not Being Invited On Trip
DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Police have arrested the man they say shot two people outside an industrial park yesterday afternoon.
Dallas Police say 37-year-old Donald Benavidez got into an argument with two men because he wasn't invited to go on a trip with them.
The men are employees of Showtech Productions near Halifax Street and Mockingbird Lane.
Police say the argument ended up outside and Benavidez shot the men several times. They are both in critical condition.
A witness who was inside and armed went out and started to fire at the suspect. The suspect wasn't hit and drove off.
Officers later caught up with Benavidez at a hotel.
Benavidez has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, he is being held on a $200,000 bond.
