DALLAS (AP/105.3 The Fan) — The Texas Rangers have suspended their business relationship with Papa John's after the company's chairman of the board apologized for using a racial slur and resigned.

According to a club official, via the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers are suspending all promotions and advertising deals with the pizza chain.

Papa John's announced late Wednesday that Schnatter had resigned. Forbes said Schnatter used the N-word during a media training exercise in May.

A Rangers promotion with Papa John's had offered discounted pizza if the team scored seven runs in a game.
