Report: Five Dead, One Wounded In Shooting At Ponder Home

UPDATE  (1080 KRLD) - Dallas County Sheriff's Captian Orlando Hinojosa confirms there were five victims in a family murder-suicide incident in Ponder. Three of the victims are children, 

The shooter was the ex-husband of the female victim, who survived the shooting and is currently at Medical City Denton. The other victim is a man who was the female victim's current boyfriend.

The shooter was the father of the three children and turned the gun on himself after shooting the other victims.


PONDER (1080 KRLD) - There has been a massive police response in the Denton County town of Ponder for a possible murder-suicide.

Police sources say it looks like a family incident that ended in a murder-suicide, and there appears to be a number of victims.

Reports say at least five people are dead and one is wounded. The wounded person was taken to a local hospital, their condition is not known. 

Ponder Police have called numerous agencies including the Denton County Sheriff's office to assist.

Authorities say they are not looking for any suspects, it appears all the activity happened in a single house on Lone Star Drive.
