GARLAND (1080 KRLD) - The SPCA of Texas is putting up a $5,000 reward for any information about who shot and dumped "Titan", the pit bull mix found dead two weeks ago.

Titan was adopted from the Garland Animal Shelter on May 24th. Two days later, his body was found was found on Dowdy Ferry Road near the Trinity River, a notorious dumping ground for animals.

Titan had been shot once in the chest. Animal rights groups claim he was adopted only to be tortured and killed.

The SPCA says they currently don't have much to go on, and they hope the $5,000 reward may uncover some new leads.
