RICHARDSON (1080 KRLD) - People in Richardson are outraged after someone set fire to several political signs in front yards.

The Richardson fire department says five signs were found burned. Those signs were in support of Democratic candidates Beto O'Rourke and Colin Allred.

The burnings were reported just after 11:00 p.m. Monday. They were concentrated in the Arapaho Heights neighborhood, off Arapaho and Custer Road.

People in Richardson are calling the sign burnings immature, saying they could quickly have become dangerous.

Some are now motivated to donate to Beto's and Allred's campaigns.

Richardson police are asking neighbors for their surveillance video. Whomever is responsible would likely face charges of criminal mischief.
