DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The Salvation Army is offering free food pantry assistance to furloughed federal workers not getting paid during the ongoing partial government shutdown.

The help is available at nine area Salvation Army centers, including Dallas, Oak Cliff, Fort Worth, Denton, Lewisville, Plano, Irving, Garland and Waxahachie.

Salvation Army officials say the help will continue until the shutdown ends and affected workers are receiving paychecks again.  To get the free food pantry items, recipients need to show their official furlough letter or an official federal government photo ID.

Days and times vary for the assistance.  For a complete list, click here
