Salvation Army In Texas Helps Hurricane Michael Victims

DALLAS (KRLD) - The Salvation Army is sending a team from Texas to help Hurricane Michael victims. The 11 person team is heading to Panama City, Florida.

The Salvation Army is sending 10 different mobile units. These include mobile kitchens and rapid response units to serve first responders and residents.

Major Jonathan Rich is the DFW Metroplex Commander for the Salvation Army. Rich says, "We also do a lot of listening. We're a shoulder for many people to cry on. We're there to pray with people if they find that encouraging and helpful. One food service truck coming from Fort Worth has the capacity to serve up to 1,500 meals a day.
