San Antonio Man Locked Up After Bizarre Police Chase

The Bexar County sheriff's office says a deputy pulled over a driver for a traffic violation this morning around 3 a.m. It happened near the intersection of New World Drive and Montgomery Drive. 

The deputy discovered the driver had a felony warrant for possessing a controlled substance.

The deputy asked the driver to step out and the driver took off almost running over the deputy.

The deputy chased the driver who crashed into a garage.

The driver left his wife and baby in the car and ran off. Deputies caught him.

The man faces charges for evading with a motor vehicle, aggravated assault of a public servant, evading foot, and a warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
