DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The candidates for US Senate from Texas are spending the day in the Metroplex. Both Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke are planning campaign stops in North Texas.

Senator Ted Cruz will stop at The Pantry restaurant on Louisiana Street in McKinney at 10:30. He will then hold a rally at Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Downtown Arlington at 1:30.

Democrat Beto O'Rourke is challenging Cruz. O'Rourke is planning two town hall meetings Tuesday.

The first is at Richardson Civic Center at 11:30. O'Rourke will then be at a town hall meeting at DeSoto High School at 6 pm.

A Texas Lyceum poll earlier this month showed Cruz with a two point lead over O'Rourke. A Quinnipiac University poll released the same day showed Cruz with a six point lead.
