June 16, 2019 - 1:19 pm

UPDATE: 8:00 a.m. Monday June 17th

FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - North Texas residents across several communities are cleaning up after more storms rolled through the area causing damage and power outtages.

Some people were left without power, and trees were uprooted when a strong storm front blew through the area.

Windows were even blown out in some neighborhoods that saw wind gusts up to 70 mph.

Roofs were ripped from several buildings, including businesses and apartments. Two buildings were damaged at the Villa Creek Apartments, near Josey and LBJ.

Fortunately no one was hurt.

“There was a giant gust of wind,” said one woman, but she was surprised to see damage when she came outside.

Immediately following the storm, Oncor reported nearly 60,000 without power in Tarrant County and an estimated 25,000 in Dallas County.

A few thousand people are still in the dark as of Monday morning. Oncor crews are working to get everyone's power restored.
