DALLAS (KRLD) - Dallas police are looking for clues after home surveillance cameras capture a rolling gun battle through Dallas' Oak Lawn Heights neighborhood early Sunday morning.

You can see chaos unfold in the video posted by NBCDFW.com.

Residents along Parkland Ave say they thought it was firecrackers going off at 5:30 Sunday morning.

A home surveillance camera captured two cars involved in a gunfight as they rolled through the neighborhood. One home was hit and the homeowners found their 3-year-old daughter had dodged gunshots as she slept, with bullets lodged in the walls of her nursery.

However, this neighbor says the area is usually very safe.

"It's a quiet neighborhood. We get some people driving dangerously fast on the road here, but that's about all you ever see," he says.

This man says the area has changed.

"I've lived here for years and it's becoming a more high-end neighborhood. Lots of people are moving in and tearing down the homes on the lots and rebuilding. A lot of the dangerous element has moved out."

Neighbors say they're planning a community meeting to talk about safety and security and how to prevent this from happening again.

Dallas police say so far no arrests have been made.
